These products are made of a special Gore-Tex type material, on which the soft-to-the-touch cotton material is combined with an extremely thin polyurethane film layer.
Due to the special composition of this flexible textile, it is not only water and dirt repellent, but also breathable. In this way, the pillow is constantly ventilated, and sweat does not leave stains on the pillow. We make pillow protectors with a zipper from this material.
In case of any minor accident, you can remove this protector from the pillow easily. The product is easy to handle, can be washed easily and dried even with regular household appliances. It protects the pillow with 100% effectiveness from all solid and liquid dirt, stains caused by hair dye, dust mites, and bed bugs. Given its use, the pillow does not need to be washed, so its lifespan can be extended several-fold.
We especially recommend it for children's pillows. Its use is also a huge help during patient- and elderly-care at home.
The SILENE pillow protector is also uniquely suited to our goose feather products, such as the ZINNIA. The extra protective layer ensures no irritation on the sleeper's face from the feathers.

The most common pillow size in the Netherlands is 60x70 cm.
What is the composition of a goose down product?
We can talk about a goose down product if at least 70% of the filling is goose down.
Pure goose down has 100% down in it and nothing else. This is extremely rare though, and is significantly more expensive than products with a down content of 90-95%.
How high is the filling power of goose down?
The filling power of feathers is around 500 cubic inch, while goose down of the highest quality can reach more than 800 cubic inch filling power. It is extremely rare to find a material with higher filling power.
Why are the prices of down-filled duvets and pillows so different?
Many manufacturers and retailers offer down-filled bedding products.
These products are excellent investments, however, are far from cheap, so it is worth paying attention to all the details included in the product descriptions, as a lot of factors affect the prices.

The most valuable filling of these is pure goose down filling.
Where does the goose down come from?
The origin of goose down highly affects the final price of the product.
Every country prefers down of different origins, but it can be stated for certainty, that Hungarian goose down is definitely the most sought after filling material, in case of premium quality bedding products. Thus, its price can also get quite high.
